Macklin has several well-maintained outdoor green spaces, included is
the Macklin Heritage Park, Project Park ’97, and St. Joseph’s Park.
These parks are maintained by the Town of Macklin employees, in addition
to many volunteers and community service groups.
The Macklin
Heritage Park is located by Chronicle Street. This park includes a 1km
paved lit walking trail with benches and picnic area, outdoor
all-weather adult exercise equipment, one gazebo, and one pergola with
bench tables. There is also a grand entrance that showcases Macklin’s
Heritage.
The Project ’97 Park is located on Mirror Drive
adjacent to the Water Treatment Plant. This park includes a playground,
monkey bars, infant/adult swings, and a gazebo with a picnic table.
St.
Joseph’s Park is located by 5001 Hwy 31 adjacent to St. Joseph’s Health
Center. This park has several focal points including: the Grotto of Our
Lady of Lourdes, Stations of the Cross that outline the parks
perimeter, the Pieta sculpture, and of course the paved walkways
throughout the park.
The Macklin School also has two playground areas available to everyone.
